7 Springs Owners Information
Seven Springs resort
first opened in 1932 and was owned and run by the
Dupre family. The Dupre family turned this wooded
area into Pennsylvania largest resort. 7 Springs ski
resort gets over a million visitors each year. They
can sleep over 5000 in the hugh hotel and many cabins
and condos. Each year the resort has more than a 1000
group events including weddings, conferences and family
reunions.
The Dupre family did
such a good job building there resort that it now
employees about 1,500 people. After owning the resort
for 74 years the Dupre family sold the resort in June
of 2006 to the Nutting family. The Nutting family
owns Ogden newspapers and part of the Pittsburgh
Pirates.
Seven Springs mountain
resort is located in Somerset and Fayette Counties of Pennsylvania. The local population is less than
150 people. For a hugh resort that gets millions of
visitors there really are only a few with the power
to vote. Most of the children living at and around
7 Springs resort attend the Connellsville area school
district.
